Brand new to the 2021 holiday letting market and finished to a beautifully high standard and sleeping 9, we are delighted to offer you stylish, family accommodation in what is our own original family home. We are sure you will relax and enjoy the accommodation and facilities on offer!

Ar Dachaigh (Our Home) is located in Balemore on North Uist -one of the most picturesque villages in the Outer Hebrides and is the perfect holiday destination for families or groups  looking to escape from the hustle and bustle of city/urban life. Situated on the flat, sandy, west side of North Uist, the uninterrupted views from the house are stunning from all directions: east to Creag Hastin (Fairy Hill) which is but a few hundred yards from the house entrance; the beautiful Balemore beach to the south of the property (one of the many tranquil beaches within walking distance) and the Monach Isles can also be viewed clearly from all aspects of the property. Corncrakes and other rare birdlife and animals are regular visitors to our village in fact this area of the west side of North Uist is renowned as a bird-watcher’s paradise!

Our village is very quiet and tranquil all year round and there are lots of peaceful machair walks for you to enjoy. Regardless of how lucky you may or may not be with the weather Uist shares with you, staying here will give you a sense of space, peace and tranquillity.

The local shop (Bayhead Shop,1.5miles away) has adequate provisions for your holiday groceries however a Co-op supermarket situated in Sollas (HS6 5BS-a 10minute commute from the house) and MacLennans Supermarket on Benbecula (HS7 5LA, a 30minute commute) provide more choice and options.

*Children and babies are most welcome and a travel cot and highchair are provided (bring your own cot linen please).

**No pets allowed-sorry! Our property is situated in an active crofting village and surrounded by many farm animals.
